I See you...Halloween picture frame!

Here is an easy and very cheap project!
I found the frame and googly eyes at the $ store.....
I had ribbon and Halloween chipboard glitter letters from K & Company on hand....
Just hot glue the ribbon strip on the bottom and glue the eyes all over the frame....
Glue on the chipboard and here you have it a cute Halloween picture frame!
Happy Haunting!

Cheap spooky deco....

So I tried this craft from this blogger. All it takes is a canvas some $ store cutouts black acrylic paint and three coordinating acrylic paint shades for fall, a gold acrylic paint, and some tacky adhesive.
I started by painting the canvas black and letting it dry...
Then I sprayed the owls with a tacky removable adhesive
I placed the owls where I wanted them on the canvas and then began to paint. I used three shades and the same brush blending as I went. Remember to paint away from the edges of the owls so that the paint does not leak under the cutouts. When I was done I peeled away the cutouts (yay for temporary adhesive)and did a watered down wash of gold and here you have it...

DIY Pumpkin Decoration

There is something about Fall that gets my creativity flowing. Maybe that's because Halloween is my absolutely favorite holiday and Fall is my favorite season! I started decorating in September and some people say "that's just too early" I say that if people can decorate for Christmas in November I can decorate for Halloween starting in September!
Last night my project was a DIY Pumpkin Decoration. I saw it on Pinterest You could use an actual real pumpkin but I want to use mine every year instead of re-carving every year and I need mine to last longer.
All you need it a pumpkin and some rubber mice from the dollar store and I hot glued mine into place.
Start with a pumpkin....Yeah my scrap/craft desk is a mess!
Then you carve holes into it whatever size you want and add the mice some crawling in some crawling out....
I even glued one on top because it looked so cute!

Add it to your Fall/Halloween display!
Enjoy!

FREE Plants & Zombies Game (PC) - Redeemable Halloween

FREE Plants & Zombies Game (PC) - Redeemable Halloween

Frugally clean!

Yes here lately I have been trying my best to be more frugal and save money. Since the move I have been at home with little man and I feel obligated to try and save some of the hubs hard earned cash! I have been making my own softener for quite some time and it works just fine. It is so cheap to make!
DIY Softener
Ingredients

  • 6 Cups of hot water
  • 3 Cups of white vinegar
  • 2 Cups of Suave Conditioner (scent of your choice)

First you want to mix your conditioner in with the hot water and stir until the conditioner dissolves
Then add in the vinegar and stir well
Then I use a funnel to pour the mixture into a bottle of your choice. This recipe yields a little more than a half gallon.
For the wash itself you can use it in a Downy Ball or add approximately 2 Tbsp to your softener compartment. I usually give the bottle a little swish before I use it. I use the Kenmore Elite and have had no problems with this softener.
Enjoy!

Cream of Tartar

Okay, so I will admit I enjoy pinterest but sometimes I am disappointed because all those cool DIY solutions do not always work. That being said if I have the items on hand, I usually try them anyway. So who doesn't have those greasy looking stainless steel appliances?
Just take some cream of tartar, and add a few drops of water, and use a sponge to apply the paste to your appliances. Buff it around for a bit and wipe it off with a damp cloth and it will remove the greasy nasty stains.

So I figure it worked okay...not as well as I thought it would but I am happy with the results! So get cleaning!
